Sip & Skill Share: Mozzarella with Carol Fairbank
Learn how to make your own farm fresh mozzarella! Participants will learn some basic cheesemaking techniques, and a shortcut recipe for making a quick cow's milk mozzarella cheese that can be ready in as little as 30 minutes. At the end, we'll enjoy a tasting of our delicious cheese, paired with fresh bread and seasonal produce. Class includes a recipe and technique handout so you can easily make cheese at home. Sip and learn in this new program, presented by WonderArts and the Highland Center for the Arts. Come grab a bite and beverage from the Hardwick Café and head into the P studio to learn different creative and useful skills in a fun and informal environment.
Carol lives in the hills of Greensboro, on a small diversified family farm and homestead, where she practices restorative agriculture, low-till gardening, and season extension. She raises Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, American Guinea Hogs, laying hens, meat birds, rabbits, geese, and ducks. She enjoys practicing and teaching the homesteading arts.
